Addiction
& Psychotherapy Services is an opioid treatment center (OTP) offering
methadone and Suboxone (buprenorphine) treatment. Founded in 1982, the
clinic is a private S-corporation, funded entirely by client fees. We
provide opiate- addicted/multiple diagnosis patients with opioid
replacement therapy, auricular acupuncture and a broad range of psychological/psychiatric
and rehabilitative services. The clinic is located at 2824 South Congress,
in a building designed and built specifically for Addiction & Psychotherapy
Services. It is located between Oltorf and Ben White, across from St.
Edwards University, just south of the Great Outdoors Nursery.
As all funding for the clinic is private, services cannot be provided
for free or at reduced rates. For government subsidized treatment, please
call Austin Travis County MHMR at (512) 472-6261.
Our mission
is to provide comprehensive, high quality outpatient services for our
patients. Operating with no profits, we strive to offer services at
the lowest possible fees. Our goals are to:
(1) rapidly stabilize opiate-addicted
patients on methadone or buprenorphine, allowing normal functioning
without further opiate abuse,
(2) treat psychological/psychiatric
problems, assist with pain management, and assist in referrals for
medical and other problems,
(3) offer a wide range of services, including
relapse prevention, educational and therapy groups, and auricular acupuncture
(4) offer assistance when tapering patients
off opioid medication and treatment is concluded.
